My Travel Story

by: Jennifer Strange Start Date: Sep 14, 2024 - End Date: Jan 13, 2025
My husband and I have been married for 21 yrs. And we are both still quite young. I'm 44 and he is 47. The last 15 yrs have been rough on us as a family. We have 2 children and they are now grown. But my husband's health started going down after he had a fungi infection called hystplasmosis. He had to have his lung removed and was on life support in the ICU for 45 days then in the regular room another22 days. He died on me 3 times during that procedure. I was having to stay with him and try to work to support our children. Then after that long journey of recovery he was diagnosed with Lupus. Then when the Covid pandemic was so bad he got covid with only 1 lung and was in hospital again for 30 days. After covid he went into congestive heart failure  with on 11% of his heart working. He now has a diffibulator pacemaker to help keep him alive in case of any heart mishaps. And we found out he is a diabetic as well. We lived for 5 yrs with only my income before he was approved for SSDI  with no back pay. Now that 6 yrs has passed I have found the opportunity to go back to college to get my degree as I still work a full time job. We have not been on a vacation since way before he had to have his lung removed. And with his SSDI and my pay it only covers getting by every month with not enough left over to save. It would be so nice to go on a cruise to the Bahamas before I graduate college and start my new job journey just money is the problem.  So any donations would be so much appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this and if you can donate then I want to say Thanks Again.
