Volunteering in Zanzibar is an opportunity for me to give back in a meaningful way by working directly in schools and child care settings. This experience is not about advancing my education or career, it’s about showing up for others, supporting children, and contributing wherever help is needed.

   I’m passionate about this project because I believe small acts of care and kindness can make a big difference, especially for children. Last year I went on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic and made long lasting memories and friendships I will never forget. By volunteering in classrooms and child care environments in Zanzibar, I hope to create a positive, safe, and encouraging space where kids feel supported, valued, and seen.

   This journey is also deeply personal for me. Being immersed in a different culture and way of life will challenge me to see the world from new perspectives and help me grow as a person. I know this experience will be memorable and life changing, allowing me to learn more about who I am, what I value, and how I connect with others.

   I chose Zanzibar because of its strong sense of community, rich culture, and the opportunity to volunteer where support truly matters.
