My Travel Story

6 months ago I was a active 35yr old male who enjoyed fishing, hiking 14ers with my dog and mostly keeping to myself. I drove a small car, lived on my own and was a maintenence worker in Colorado Springs, CO. Everything changed when I was invited to go camping in the mountain valley of Twin Lakes, CO. I hiked a 14enr the night before Labor Day, that morning I went fishing and all was well. My mother owned a street E-Bike(little tred on the tires). I borrowed it to ride to my campsite not 50yds away. I remember coming to the corner going 15mph thinking I was going too fast. The back tire hit some pebbles and I fell back with all the force hitting my back rightside hip. The pain was so intense I thought I broke my back. Passed in and out while they were loading me. I shattered my right pelvis and broke my hip socket in 4 places on top of internal bleeding. I had a Flight for Live to denver where I had life saving surgery. I did come out of it as a disabled 35yr old. I walk with a cane most days, others I spend on countless hrs of painfull PT. I can no longer work labor jobs and am looking at remote career opportunities. What I would like to do is see my bucketlist places. Its hard to come to terms with your own mortality but I promiced if I made it out alive, I would document and live my dream.
