A TRAVEL WITH A PURPOSE ,PUT A SMILE ON THAT VULNERABLE SOUL
My Travel Story
My name is Vicky i lived and work in Appleton ,WI.
I humbly come to you to assist me for my travel expenses to a trip to Kenya,Africa,Kenya is in East Africa a beatiful nation with beatiful people and sceneries.Well,i have a charity project that i normally do for the communities in Kenya,I donate sanitary pads to women in prison,girls in school and women from humble background,i also do help the women who are victims of domestic abuse to find shelter and basic things one of the photos i attached was a mother who was being abused by her husband and the baby was cought in between ,he was cut deep in the head by the father,i reached out to help her to a secure place and hospital bill with the help of other community members the program is done by Chanua Dada program that helps the young single mothers,advocate against domestic abuse and gender based violence help minor and rape victims who are afraid to talk ,I also help the disabled by providing the necessary resources like wheel chairs.I also do donate soccer kits to soccer teams from the remotest part of kenya and in the slums that are determined and talented to make their dreams come true but they cant afford soccer kits,this is through a program i started called YOUTH EPOWERMENT THRO' SPORTS(YES).This program is done every other sunday and the impact is felt because the youth are more motivated and they are running away from trouble ,drugs,joining gangs,idling and engaging in unhealhty gatherings, the parents are also appriciative and happy.I also visit the elderly and the oprhans in the society every other sunday and provide bedding and cooking cylinders these people are mostly ignored and neglected so i try to make them feel loved and not forgotten.All these charity and volunteer programs does not have sponsors or funding i do all these out of my pocket .I chose kenya and the counties that i visit most because this is where i grew up and saw ,experienced the struggle and my desire is to change the situation as much as i could.
Iam passionate about giving back to the society ,epowering the youth because they are the future,i am a victim of domestic abuse and so i dont want to see any woman undergoing the same,it gives me joy when i put a smile on someone's face its the greatest feeling.Iam passioante also because iam an orphan and i know the feeling i want to see people happy regardless .
All these projects are making difference because girls are not missing school on their monthly periods,women in prison are no longer have to worry about washing a cloth and use as a pad ,youth are not engaging in illegal activies because they are busy with sports throu YES program.The elderly,disabled,orphans feel part and parcel of the community.The trip will surely make my experience great ,accomplished and to strive to do more to impact more lives.I have like 10 plus counties /towns to visit thus me coming here to ask for your assistance to reach to these counties and towns this time.I am planning to travel DEC 2024 to open offices in some counties and towns and some towns to launch programs. I have a team volunteering on the ground so that the every other sunday program runs.i need support on this one my online friends please.
