I am Mr. Mapesa Lwanga Bitonye an emerging social innovator, a civic tech leader and a cross boundary leader based in Kakamega county here in Kenya. I am passionate about serving humanity. I aspire to spend the rest of my life using digital technologies to turn around the society and bring a lasting social change on the planet earth. I desire to leave a mark in this world so that when I depart from these earth the world should know I have been here! I am The CEO & Founder of The ICT Academy. The ICT Academy is a startup multi country digital nonprofit created to bridge the digital divide in rural and peri-urban Africa & beyond. As The CEO & Founder of The ICT Academy I have selected to join a few emerging cross boundary leaders selected from across Africa for the Africa Venture Leadership Academy which shall be held in Lagos Nigeria in August 2020. Africa Venture is a program of Common Purpose a global nonprofit that identifies and natures leaders who cross boundaries both at work and in the society. Attending the Africa Venture Leadership Academy shall equp me with trisector leadership skills that shall enable me to be an effective social change agent and a change maker as I serve my community in the capacity of a nonprofit leader.
