My Travel Story

by: Harry Ferrucci Start Date: Mar 20, 2016 - End Date: Mar 13, 2017
I am a 16 year old student from Chancellors School that has been offered the breath-taking opportunity to volunteer in Nakura, Kenya with African Adventures. A link to their webpage will be at the bottom if you would like to find out more but read on for a brief description of what I will be doing whilst I am out there.

During my visit, I will be helping to
build/renovate classrooms, kitchens, toilet blocks and social spaces to improve the learning space for the children. I will also have the opportunity to teach children aged 4-17, I will be planning lessons, marking papers, setting homework, reading stories and playing games to help the children have a better education. The final thing I will be doing which I am most excited about is multi sport coaching. Here, I will have the opportunity to work with children aged 8-18 to teach them a variety of sports that they may not have had the opportunity to do before.

This could be the most amazing experience of my life, however to make this trip happen I need to raise £1875, so if you could help to support the trip by donating it would be highly appreciated. To help contribute to raise the money I will be doing many fundraising events such as sponsored runs and cake sales during the course of this year.

Please share this with your friends and family to help me reach my target. Every donation will be very much appreciated.
