My Travel Story

Hi everyone! My name is Cristina, and I study psychology at the University of Padova in Italy. I have the incredible opportunity to be an intern in Cape Town, South Africa, for 3 months in spring 2018! 
I will be able to get closer to very severe issues affecting the South African women, men and children: sadly there is a high rate of HIV/AIDS patients, and a general lack of information about the disease and its spread amongst the population.
I will also work next to professional psychologists in an effort to help people affected by mental disorders, and women and children who suffered sexual and psychological abuse and traumas.
I am beyond excited for this opportunity, I believe it will help me to better understand what it means to survive with mental and health diseases and hopefully develop ideas on how I can give my contribute to the community. 

I will do everything I can to earn the money that is necessary for this internship, but as it is a big amount, I probably won't be able to earn all of it. If you believe my cause is a right one and want to give your contribute, I will be unbelievably grateful, really.   THANK YOU!!!!!
