This summer, I finally get to head off to the University of Stirling, in Scotland, a dream now coming true. As a nursing student at Boise State, I’m keen to see how healthcare and science are taught across the globe and to understand how cultural backdrops shape the ways people look after one another. Studying abroad transcends the accumulation of credits; it becomes a catalyst for evolution and professional development as a budding nurse. Immersed in a setting, I’ll be compelled to abandon comforts, forge connections with people from diverse cultures, and gather fresh insights that will deepen my compassion and broaden my perspective as a well‑rounded healthcare practitioner. I’m pulling together funds to offset travel, lodging, and program costs. Every contribution, no matter its size, nudges this vision toward reality.
