Hi, my name is Jini Park. I’m a first-generation Korean immigrant and multidisciplinary artist working across painting, screenprinting, mixed media, and digital formats. My practice centers on exploring the layered nature of identity—how culture, memory, and history shape who we are, and how we continue to evolve. I’m drawn to the in-between: between tradition and modernity, personal memory and collective legacy, Korean and Western influences. Through layered imagery, textures, and symbols, I strive to express what language alone cannot.

I’m honored to share that I’ve been accepted into the 2025 Eutopia Art Residency on Syros Island, Greece—a highly selective international art symposium that brings together 10 artists from around the world for two transformative weeks of creative immersion. Set in one of the most historically rich and visually striking islands in the Cyclades, this residency provides space to create, collaborate, and connect across cultures.

This opportunity is a turning point in my artistic journey—but I need your help to make it happen. I’m seeking support to cover travel, residency fees, and materials to bring my full vision to life.

While in Syros, I will continue expanding my project From What Remains, a body of work that transforms discarded textiles into layered visual narratives—reclaiming what’s been forgotten or cast off and turning it into something expressive and whole. Rooted in traditional Korean patchwork (jogakbo) and sustainable art practices, this project speaks to both personal healing and broader cultural memory.

Your support will not only fund the creation of art—it will help amplify underrepresented voices, foster cross-cultural dialogue, and explore how art can build bridges between people, stories, and generations.

I believe that by reimagining what we discard—whether fabric, culture, or emotion—we can create something more expansive, inclusive, and alive. Thank you for being part of this journey.

With love and gratitude,
Jini Park
