My Travel Story

Before leaving home on my world motorcycle extravaganza, people would ask, do it for a cause and raise money! And I would tell people I want to do this for me. But really I didn’t know what to raise funds for. There are a million things out there and I personally didn’t think I would make much of a difference giving money to some massive illness or something. Now, after being taken in by a family from a small village on the outskirts of a city called Bandung, West Java that have so little yet I feel I am offered the world, “smoke?, Nasi?, kopi?”, “no,no,no” I feel I have found something that I would love to do.




I show this family photos and videos of my home and hometown and see how blown away they are! Their eyes light up as well as mine as I recall how beautiful it really is back home. Immediately after though I feel somewhat ashamed. Very lucky yes but here I was, sitting in a room full of 10 family members talking about Australia and the fact I have the opportunity to ride a motorcycle around the world. Some of them would not leave the country their whole life unless it were to fight a war.




I met Aggi, a fellow motorcycle rider at the start of Indonesia who I had the pleasure to ride with for 5 days. We bonded like bro’s and he would tell me it was he’s dream to have he’s honeymoon in Australia. I want to make this happen. In fact I want to bring him and 6 of he’s family members to my home town for one week.




This can happen for $5,000 which is crazy money for any Indonesian, but completely doable as a westerner.




I tell this incredibly generous family, imagine going to Australia! They say, no no a dream! I want to make this dream come true! And I want your help to do it!
