Lion conservation project
My Travel Story
My name is Himanshu Koshle and I am 27 years old. My entire life I have been fascinated with animals, and have recently become more interested in wildlife conservation. I am doing a project involving African wildlife conservation, specifically about wild cats. To gain more experience and insight on this topic, I want to witness both the amazing African safari and the cruelty of poaching first hand.
My dream is to volunteer abroad, for a month in the summer of 2021. I have reserved a spot at two wildlife conservation projects in South Africa. At the first project, I will have the opportunity to work with wild cats, This organization works to rehabilitate these majestic animals to later release them back into the wild. At the second project, I will be able to go out in the South African safari and learn how to track the pride of lions and relocate certain species to avoid incest or over-population of the reserve. More information on these projects is available at the links below.
Including transportation and the project fee, this incredible learning experience is unfortunately not cheap. Except for my flight, all donations go directly towards helping the endangered wildlife in South Africa. The survival of these organizations and in turn, these species, depends upon volunteers. I personally have already started saving for this trip, but I would of course appreciate any donation - big or small. Every dollar counts! Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about my project. If you are not in the position to donate towards this cause, even just sharing the link is a great help.
Thank you so much for your support!
Warmest,
Himanshu Koshle
