My Travel Story

In July 2020 I will be volunteering in Bali as part of a 4 week Mental Health Placement with SLV Global. SLV Global is a voluntary organisation which aims to help communities where the mental health sector is in need of extra support. Mental health is a major and stigmatised problem in Indonesia, with a lack of resources resulting in many people being left untreated and suffering from psychological conditions and discrimination.

During my time in Bali I hope to make a difference by working as an activity support worker, facilitating therapeutic activities to promote postive mental health within educational and psychiatric settings.
