My Travel Story

The Siargao Island was once devastated by Typhoon Odette last December 2021. Although the island is now open for tourists, the poorest of the poor wasn't able to recover what was lost as most of them were farmers and are earning below minimum wage. I am a local in Siargao.My father is a Principal that helps send kids to school even without tuition,he helped kids in far away islets travel thru our boats to school,as before they swim and their books were covered in plastic so it wont get wet.He helped open secondary schools to islets so kids only go to the main island for college.I am a nurse with 7 years of experience and witnessed the healthcare system in the island slowly grow,but not enough to cater vehicular accidents and chronic diseases as most of these patients get sent to the city as the island dont have the facilities to cater to them. I am here to make my home a better place by helping those who needed help.
