My mom is the most loving, kind-hearted, and selfless woman I know. She has dedicated her life to care for our family, always putting her children’s needs before her own. She’s an incredible cook, filling our home with delicious meals, and keeps everything so organized, making sure that the home runs smoothly. As a full-time housewife, she spent her entire married life focused on making sure we were well taken care of, often sacrificing her own needs to ensure our happiness. Aside from that, she spent time nurturing her beloved plants, a passion she still holds until present, though with much more care, as lifting, kneeling and bending have become difficult with her age.

In 2015, my mom underwent knee surgery, and as she’s gotten older, walking has become slower for her. Still, her spirit remains as strong as ever, and that’s why I want to give her the chance to experience something special on her 78th birthday. Her birthday is on March 25, I plan to take her on a trip to Thailand. Thailand is just a short 3.5-hour flight from Philippines, which makes it easy for her to travel without too much hassle.

While we’re there, I want to show her the beautiful sights of Bangkok, take her to the vibrant night markets, and indulge in the famous street food. It’s a chance for her to see the world outside of our home, to feel the joy of adventure, and to give her a memory she’ll treasure forever.
