My Travel Story

Nature holds a very special place in my heart. Whenever I breathe in the air walking by nature, I feel like I am alive. Nature brings me a fresh state of mind every morning. Seeing the colors of the trees and the rocks brings me distraction from the chaos of this world. Nature is my first love. And I want to give my all to make this a reality for every generation following ours to experience the same. 

Nowadays, the biggest problem of Mother Nature is still fossil fuel. People have to heat their homes, go places far from walking distance, and use electric appliances to survive at home. The forests, the waters, and the soil, everything in nature allows us to survive. We rely on these raw materials or later-manufactured goods to support our health and our lifestyle. But looking at the recent years of statistics in society. Our environment is still haunted by the curse of fossil fuel overuse by not just people of profit but all of us. We are all guilty of it. 

In my own academic studies, I have been making many speeches surrounding the idea of nature, fossil fuels, electric cars, and other components that revolve around the things that matter to me the most, Nature. And to fully understand my next step, I felt a necessity to practically investigate the realm of sustainability development and animal behavior in order to perfect my view of the world and for potential things I need to put more attention to down the road throughout my career. Maymester Australia and New Zealand Green Cohort is one of the trips that have the criteria to make that vision come true. As we dive into this practical learning experiment, I would love to engage myself into seeing potential ways to fully change the daunting fossil fuel situation that is occurring in the US. I wish to find a way to balance one for economic increase while preserving the natural resources that the world gives us. I desire to be mankind, not above nature but be one with it. I want to take into consideration fossil fuel use and human intervention to further think about how my actions could change the world that we live in. 

And most importantly, I want to preserve my home. I want the next generation and the next generation to also fall in love with the beauty that we experience in this decade. I want our future generation to be able to adventure with each other and experience life on the mountains and the lakes. I want them to be able to enjoy a nice campfire on a Saturday night with all of their close ones. And I want them to be inspired by the beauty God has created, to be inspired by the shapes, the structure, the feel of the air, the altitude, and the intense excitement for their next adventure.
