Hi guys!

I am currently completing my Bachlor of Teaching and Bachelor of Science with a childhood goal of becoming a Science Teacher. I have been on professional placement at amazing schools across Melbourne (Australia), experiencing both public and private classrooms. I am reaching my final year of studies but unfortunately it is compulsory for it to be based in Australia as the unit solely focuses on the Australian School Curriculum.

I decided to do some research into volunteer teaching abroad in third-world countries and use as much of my knowledge as possible to give back to these kids and provide them with an equal opportunity to the great education we receive here in Australia. Personally, I also am looking to gain as much experience as I can and develop teaching strategies that I can imlpement in my future classrooms, I am looking forward to the challenge of being quite limited in my teaching resources but I have always been one to think quick on my feet for fun learning games for the students. After looking around, I found myself tied to the children in South Africa. CIS Australia accepted my application (yay!!) and I am yet to venture on this teaching dream in November.

Opening up a fundmytravel account was really my last resort as I am not one to seek help from others financially, but because the travel dates is so soon I thought that I would give it a shot and accept any size of help that will contribute to achieving my lifelong dream of teaching overseas in beautiful places like South Africa. Thanks for taking the time to read this and would like to thank you in advance for any donations made!
