Traveling abroad to intern with a firm in Europe will greatly impact my professional and academic goals. This experience would set me apart from fellow applicants and help me to stand out. I plan on attending graduate school after I earn my bachelors. I believe that an internship abroad would beneficial for graduate school and my career. When abroad I want to immerse myself in the countries cultural and really get to know locals. I want to share my life experiences as an American citizen with them. I want to learn about  local traditions and their history. I have always been passionate about architecture, especially foreign architecture. To be able to travel abroad and actually see and study European architecture would be a dream come true. I chose Spain or Ireland because of their unique styles of architecture and because of their diverse culture. This is meaningful to me because I would be accomplishing the things I never thought I could do. I am a first generation college student, I live in a rural area, and I also identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community. So to be able to take this adventure would truly be a miracle. I received a scholarship to travel abroad in the summer of 2021, but it does not cover all the expenses. So I am needing to fundraise and work for the rest of the funds I am needing. Anything donated is greatly appreciated!
