My Travel Story

Hello! My name is Magnolia Ford, and I’m currently a student at Illinois State University majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders. This spring, I’ve been given an incredible opportunity to participate in a faculty-led study abroad program that will deepen my understanding of Speech-Language Pathology across global settings.

During our 10-day journey over Spring Break, I’ll be traveling to Madrid, Casablanca, and Lisbon—three vibrant cities where I’ll observe how professionals use innovative technologies and culturally responsive practices to support individuals with communication challenges. This experience will not only expand my academic knowledge but also bring me closer to my long-term goal of becoming a Speech-Language Pathologist.

All expenses for this educational trip are included in the fundraising amount I’m working toward. I’m deeply passionate about this field and excited to see the world through the lens of global healthcare and education.
