Friends and Family,

If you know just one thing about me, it should be that I have an intense love for traveling, in Europe specifically. Ever since I was a little girl I have dreamed of living in Europe. At the time, I didn't really care which country. I just wanted to be surrounded by the culture and history. After backpacking through Europe when I was 18, I came to a solid decision on where I would like to live...England. 

You all know that I have had some difficult experiences and issues in this life, so I never for one minute thought that my dream of living abroad would ever actually come true. And then I finished my AA. And today I completed my BA. And now I have been accepted into a program for my MSW in Liverpool, England. It is no longer a dream, but can be my reality. 

Throughout my entire life I have realized that being of assistance to others is what gives my life meaning. By attending school in Liverpool and earning my MSW I will be able to help others, specifically those in the LGBTQ community, to reach a stability with their mental health through therapy so that they are able to live their best lives. I am far from perfect, but one thing that I know without a doubt about myself is that my heart is in the right place and I will do anything in my power to help someone in need.

I was grossly unprepared for the initial costs of attending school abroad. The costs add up to about $7000.00. That is the cost of my tuition deposit, visa application, immigration health surcharge (health insurance), and my flight there in July. My student loans and grants are unable to help me with these expenses as they will not be dispersed until the first week of classes which is the first week of October.

I am continuing to work to save as much as possible, as I still have to put down a deposit and first months rent for my accommodation. As of right now, I have secured about not quite half of the cost. I am asking for your help in raising the remaining $4000.00. Any little bit will help. I'm simply running out of time.
