My Travel Story

This summer, I will be interning abroad in Sydney, Australia in a specialized pediatric facility working with children aged 0-21 with significant congitive, behavioral, and developmental challenges at Luz All Abilities. Their services include after-school and holiday programs, early intervention programs, home programs to improve independence, support transitions in late childhood/early adolescence, and overall work on their client's individual and meaningful needs. As an occupational therapy intern, I will get to apply my classroom knowledge into creating and implementing my own treatment plans utlizing their equipment and following a daily routine plan. Not only will this be an amazing cross-cultural experience, it will help prepare me to be more competitive for future fieldwork placements and landing a job after my graduate education. Any additional funds would help me finance the program fees, travel costs, food/grocery bills, and exploring surrounding areas! Thank you for your support in my adventure :)
