My Travel Story

by: Jason Lovern Start Date: Jan 17, 2024 - End Date: Jul 16, 2024
My brother-in-law, Davis, was diagnosed with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma in early 2021 right as my wife and I had just met and started dating. We were engaged by October of that same year and married by December. It was then he became my brother too and all the tests and treatments affected my wife as well as myself. Fast forward to late 2022, Davis had multiple rounds of Chemo and radiation treatments, while my wife and I were waiting to find out if our expected bundle of joy was going to be a princess or prince(turned out she is a princess). Even with the distance, our family and Davis along with his partner have grown closer. We sent up prayers in hopes he would get better so he could meet his niece in May of 2023 and we got the news in April of 2023 that my brother-in-law had gone into remission. In July of 2023 we all received terrible news that his numbers from his labs were not where they were expected to be and additional treatment via stem cell Apheresis was going to be needed. My wife and Davis's other brother were both tested and my wife was the best match. We did two trips to Orlando with our 4 month old in August, the first for blood work and the second for the treatment. Over the Past few months his lab work still has not shown the results he needs and another treatment is needed. With the trips back in August and the new baby our emergency funds and every other piggy bank we had has been exhausted. We are asking for your help with our travels. We really do appreciate any help!!
