I’ve always believed that kindness can be the most powerful change-maker in the world. This year, I’m turning that belief into action by traveling from India to Cape Town, South Africa to volunteer with Ladles of Love — a respected non-profit that provides meals to people in need.

For 12 days, I’ll be right there in the heart of the work: helping in community kitchens, preparing fresh meals, packing them with care, and serving them directly to children, families, and individuals who often don’t know where their next meal will come from. But it’s more than food , I’ll be spending time talking, listening, and sharing human moments that bring comfort and dignity.

This journey is deeply personal to me. I want to grow as a person, to see the world through different eyes, and to learn the power of community action. It’s also part of my vision to work in spaces that create real, human-centered change , so the skills, empathy, and experience I gain will shape both my future career and my character.

I chose Cape Town because it’s a place where beauty and hardship live side by side, and where even a small effort can create a big ripple of hope. Ladles of Love has an incredible track record of turning compassion into action, and I’m honored to be part of their mission.
