I want to thank you for taking the time out to read my story. My name is Stephen Spence. I am a author, cartoon/story creator, and T-Shirt designer. I have five reasons why I chose Nigeria as the particular destinations for my travels.

Reason 1.
The work that I do is based on the culture of that particular location. I've already published one book involving the culture from that location.
I'm currently working on another book and for this second book, I would love to spend time in the locations that this book will be based off. I want to walk amongst the people, eat the food, and experience the culture of Nigeria in person.
That experience would contribute plenty of information and education that would be helpful towards the creation of this next book.
The first book is available at the link below
Book Titled: The Orishas Within You

Reason 2.
I am a cartoon story creator. The cartoon stories that I create involves the culture that is based in that location. As I began to connect with people from Nigeria upon our first conversations, they would have a hard time understanding what I was saying. That's when I came up with the bright idea to have characters in my cartoons, played by the voices of people here in the United States and the people there from the different parts of Nigeria. In the cartoons, you will see how the characters communicate with one another, but having different accents for an example, you may have someone with a Chicago accent that is playing the brother of someone with a Yoruba accent in the story. Not only are the stories entertaining, but I noticed that with this experiment, communication became easier and it gives the viewers a chance to see a lauange and a cultural barrier being broken. This travel would give me the opportunity to meet the people who played the voice of these characters that participated in these cartoons. In Nigeria, the network is not strong most of the time, and the people who send me their voice overs for the cartoons really put in a lot of hard work and dedication. The electricity goes off in the cities and the network communication can be poor at times but, these fine people always figure out a way to get there Voice Over to me. I'm grateful for their contribution and I would love the opportunity to meet and thank them in person.

Reason 3.
I also create T-shirts and other merchandise based on the culture. I have people requesting merchandise there, but the problem is the cost of shipping. This travel experience will give me a chance to see how the markets there operate, and how we can share resources with one another. I've came across people there who are very talented, but the problem is they don't have a lot of the resources and opportunities that we have here in the US.

Reason 4.
For the last four years, I've been working around the clock. My routine has been to wake up, create, and edit. Seeing the finished products people don't have any idea of how much work is required especially me having a scheduled time that these works must be completed by. I'm not exaggerating when I say that for the last four years, I have spent 90% of my time working and creating. That means that it's been four years since I've been anywhere outside of the area I live. Four years since I Experienced fun activities and hobbies. Each day the goal is to turn a dream into a reality. With that being said this trip would give me a chance to have some fun and see something different besides the town I reside.

Reason 5.
Anyone who resides in the United States can understand the impact that inflation has left upon us. after paying bills what a lot of us have left over is very little or nothing at all. In my situation after the bills are paid if there's anything left over it goes into the business I'm trying to create. Funding a trip like this out of my own pocket seems almost impossible. To give a little more background on myself and my situation I am a physically disabled person. I was diagnosed with polymyositis. I spent months in the hospital, having to learn how to walk again. To make a long story short I don't have the physical capabilities that most people have so working a physical job is not an option for me. That's the reason I've put so much time and dedication within writing books, creating cartoon stories, and making T-shirts and merchandise. Truth is business is slow even though low progress is better than no progress it's still not enough progress to finance this trip. I thank you for reviewing my profile, and if you can help with anything, I gratefully appreciate it. Thank you!!!!
