My Travel Story

Last year, at the age of 59, I was able to meet my biological Dad. I was adopted as an infant. I always knew I was adopted, but it wasn't until I was going through my Mom's papers that in the last box, at the very bottom, I found a folder that had all my "legal" paperwork in. My Mom had always told me that I had a closed adoption and she didn't know anything about my biological parents. Several years ago I even contacted an attorney to see if I could get it unsealed. She was going to let me spend money on this, when she had all my paperwork all the time! I immediately got on a people location site and found my Father! It was amazing! We were actually able to meet when he and his wife had a trip planned to see friends and they traveled through Branson, MO. But during this time, he was unable to meet his first great grandchild because his "baby daddy" wouldn't let us have him during "his" weekend. And now there is a second great grandson, born about a week after my Dad was here.
What I want to do is travel for about 2 1/2 weeks the end of September and beginning October, taking my youngest daughter, 19 yo, my oldest daughter, 27 yos, her fiance and her two sons, and drive to Massachusetts to visit my Dad and my half brother and sister, their kids and the aunts and uncles I have there. I was an only child, and the idea that I have younger siblings and aunts and uncles!!! This would be an amazing trip to have. My Dad's wife has had panceratic cancer and wasn't able to travel this year, so this is extremely important to me to be able to get there for them to see their great grandsons.
