My Travel Story

There isn't anything quite like the innocent smile of a child. There is so much hope and possibility in their eyes, and that is something that should never be taken away from them. However, sometimes we can not stop all the negativity in the world, but we can lend a helping hand. I have always known what I wanted to do with my life, and that is to help children who come from troubled homes keep that sparkle of hope alive in their hearts. I am currently attending Montana State University to recieve my psychology degree and become a counselor for adolescents. However, I have a lot of schooling left before I can pursue that dream and, I feel the need to do something in the mean time to give back to a world that has given me so much, This June I plan on flying to Peru and volunteering at the orphanges and schools down there for four weeks. It will be the trip of a lifetime and I hope to better these children's lives one smile at a time. Not only will I be changing their lives, but they will be changing mine as well. This experience will humble me and open my eyes to the world around me.
