Most people who are active members of their community are interested in improving the lives and education of our youth.  I feel exactly the same way.  It is for this reason that I have decided to take a group of students on an educational service learning tour to Peru in April 2016.  The experiences they will have while traveling will help them build confidence, independence, and will undoubtedly enhance their perspective on themselves and their place in the world.

Educational travel is something I have become very passionate about.  After traveling on my own for the past two years, witnessing new cultures first hand and experiencing history (typically only learned in a textbook) has enhanced my enthusiasm for learning.  I have no doubt that this will strengthen students’ passion for learning.  Adding a service component to the trip will also enhance a students desire to help others.

I have chosen to partner with EF Educational Tours for our Service Learning trip abroad.  EF has nearly 50 years of experience in student travel and has offered a great price.  However, for some families, this price is still difficult to meet.  In an effort to provide as much financial assistance to the students as possible, this letter goes out to you to ask for your support.

Our collective goal is to raise at least $4000 for the students.  We would greatly appreciate any donation you are willing to contribute.  Every $10, $20, or $30 adds up!  Our group will be working for the next few months to raise these funds for the tour and we thank you in advance for your support.
