Help me fund my volunteer work in Botswana!

14 years ago I broke my back in a snowboarding accident, since then I've been in a wheelchair. I’m currently working as a rehab coach helping people with disabilities with wheelchair technique, exercise, transfer training and mental health support.

In December I'm going to Botswana for volunteer work. We are a team of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapist and rehab coaches that are going to start up a local training camp. We are about to train 25 people with different types of disabilities in various areas that is crucial for their wellbeing and every day life in a wheel chair. The aim of the start up camp is to provide them with capacity and tools to keep the camp operating as part of the local community. The goal is also to make them able to become leaders for other people with disabilities in Botswana.

I've done similar volunteer work in Mexico and also at camps here in Sweden where I've felt great personal growth and seen the positive changes and development amongst the participants of these camps. They go from being dependent on help from others in their daily lives to being self sufficient and able to start living a normal life, whatever that might be.

I'm grateful for any support I can get because I have to take a leave from my daily work, which is already low-paid.
