My name is Remeena, and I'm writing to you with a sincere request for assistance. As a single mother living in Canada, I work diligently to take care of my small family and make our budget stretch. Though this journey has been both tough and fulfilling, there is one aspect of my life that has felt incomplete for far too long—my family in Sri Lanka. 

It has been almost 12 years since I last saw my relatives. In the time that has passed since our last embrace, I have grown, encountered challenges, and embraced motherhood.My child has never had the opportunity to meet their grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Despite my sincere attempts, the financial challenges of raising a child alone and the steep cost of living have made it difficult for me to save enough money for a trip back home.

This is why I kindly seek your assistance. My dream is to visit my family in Sri Lanka and introduce them to my child, bridging the gap of over a decade. I’m seeking to raise to cover the cost of plane tickets, travel expenses, and any unforeseen costs that may arise during this journey.

This isn’t merely a journey; it’s a chance to reconnect, heal, and reinforce the ties to my roots. It’s a moment for my child to experience their heritage firsthand and to meet the individuals who have influenced the person I have become.
