My Travel Story

I will have the chance to work alongside teachers from a totally different culture, learn about what life is like for them, and learn many new teaching techniques and ideas that I can bring to my classroom. I will be able to insert a whole new level of cultural awareness and understanding into my lessons back home after my fellowship experience. It is vital that my students understand the world from other perspectives and as an educator, I play a big role in exposing them to different healthy experiences. I will, also, delivering training, coaching, and professional development to teachers who have, in some cases, received no pre-service training, and very limited in-service training.  Imagine trying to do your job with no support, supervision or ongoing professional development. The difference I can make in Ghana for the teacher and student will expand their educational practices. I plan to make a massive impact!
