My Travel Story

I’m reaching out with a special request to help bring my beloved mom and my sister to the USA for 90 days. It has been over a year since I last saw my mom and eleven years since I've seen my sister. This is more than just a visit, it's a chance to create precious memories, reconnect, and bridge the distance that life has placed between us.

My mom is 69 years old and lives with osteoporosis, but thankfully, she’s healthy and still able to travel. Since the passing of my stepdad in 2017, who was like a father to me, I’ve taken on the responsibility of bringing her to the USA for 90 days each year. Her visits have meant everything to me and my children, who cherish the time they spend with their grandma. Unfortunately, this year, I’ve been unable to fund her travel, and it breaks my heart that we haven’t been able to see her.

For me, tomorrow is never promised, I have lost so many close loved ones in the past five years, every video call I share with my mom is a blessing. But nothing compares to seeing her in person. Traveling to my birth country is out of reach for me right now as a mother of four, it’s just too expensive.

In addition to bringing my mom, I want to bring my sister, who nearly lost her life to cardiac arrest in 2019. She survived, and I’m so grateful for her, but I haven’t hugged her since before her health scare when I left my birth country in 2013, it's been over eleven years.

Your support would help cover the travel expenses for my mom and sister to come to the USA for 90 days. This would give my children the chance to reconnect with their grandma and meet their aunt (whom they haven't met) and for me, it would mean the world to have my family together again, even for a short time.
