My Travel Story

On this trip, I am hoping to conduct research on the bees of the region, since they are so diverse, especially compared to the ones within the United States. I want to go into research as my career, making this trip a great jump start for me since I will be able to publish my findings. My first semester in college, I was placed in an entomology course. I originally thought I wouldn’t be interested but kept the course anyway. This course allowed me to discover my love for insects and other arthropods, especially within my interest of infectious diseases. So, once I got the email for this study abroad, my interest was piqued. I was very excited to start my own research and learn how to do it properly. Being able to go on this trip would also give me an idea of what kind of research I want to conduct. I appreciate any and all donations for me to go on this trip.
