My Travel Story

Being able to study abroad as an exchange student at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea means everything to me. I've known that this was something that I need to do since high school; especially now, however, since I am studying International Studies with a double major in Journalism. In order to inform others and expose truths to forge better understandings and more accurate perspectives on the world, I must first experience the world for myself. I cannot fully or adequately fulfill the duties of a global journalist without gaining valuable insight and more comprehensive knowledge about the world and its many beautiful cultures and countries. Studying abroad at Yonsei University would be an honor because it is one of South Korea's top 3 universities and there would be no way I could get in if I wasn't an exchange student. It is one of the most prestigious and inclusive higher learning institutions in the whole world. I cannot wait to work hard, study harder, and experience the wonders of East Asia, which has long been misrepresented and underestimated in the 'West.' I am ready to have my eyes opened and discover new ideas and perspectives I would never have the chance to anywhere else.
