This fall, I’m hoping to take a very special trip—two unforgettable weeks in Los Angeles. It’s something I’ve been dreaming about for a long time. There’s something magical about the idea of exploring a place I’ve only seen in movies, and this year feels like the perfect time to finally make it happen.
Los Angeles has always fascinated me—not just because of Hollywood, but because of its energy, its creativity, and the incredible mix of cultures and people. I imagine walking along the beaches of Santa Monica, watching the sunset over the Pacific Ocean, or hiking up to the Griffith Observatory for a view of the city lights. I’d love to visit famous places like the Getty Center, the Walk of Fame, and Venice Beach, but also to discover the smaller, everyday corners of LA that make it so unique.
This trip would mean so much more to me than just sightseeing. It would be a chance to step out of my comfort zone, experience something completely new, and get inspired. I’m someone who loves art, music, and film, and I believe that being in a place like LA—even for a short time—could spark new ideas and motivation. Sometimes all it takes is a change of scenery to see the world, and ourselves, differently.
To make this trip a reality, I’ve calculated that I’ll need around $5,000. That amount would cover everything—flights, accommodation, food, local travel, entry to museums and attractions, and a little extra for unexpected adventures. I’m not planning anything too luxurious—just enough to stay safe, comfortable, and make the most of the experience.
Here’s how it would break down: about $1,200 for flights, $1,400 for two weeks in a simple hotel or Airbnb, $700 for meals, $400 for transportation within the city, and the rest for tickets, activities, and small extras. I’d like to travel in the fall because it’s a beautiful time in California—warm, but not too hot—and the city is a bit calmer than during the summer.
Right now, I’m doing my best to save up. I’ve been cutting back on non-essentials, looking for extra work, and exploring every option to make this trip possible. I know it’s a big amount, but I believe that with enough determination and a little help, it’s within reach.
More than anything, this trip would be a dream come true. I want to come back with new memories, fresh inspiration, and maybe even a stronger sense of what I want for my future. If I can make it happen, I know it will be one of the most meaningful experiences of my life.
