My Travel Story

About me
Konnichiwa! My name is Jo. I am a student currently studying Japanese language and culture independently. I have an immense love for Japanese culture and have planned to study there for a while now. I hope to go next summer so I can continue to further expand my knowledge on my studies to create better opportunities for my future. I believe the best way to fully learn a language and culture is to completely immerse yourself so you can experience things such as the culture, tradition, and everyday living.
"It's better to experience something once than to hear about it a thousand times." -Asian Proverbs
The Program
After searching long and hard I couldn't find any program that would work, until I found Experience Japan! Experience Japan started 5 years ago, sending students from Japan to America and has just started sending students from America to Japan program for the first time. I would go for 15 days with a planned schedule that further cultivate my interests. With this program I get to visit many college campuses, speak to different international students, meet Americans who've made it in Japan, learn about the rich history, and explore the modern perks that entail.
