Help Me Volunteer to Assist Underserved Patients in Cusco!
My Travel Story
My name is Sophia and I am a fourth-year medical student at Debusk College of Osteopathic Medicine. I've always wanted to volunteer abroad, but was unable to throughout school due to COVID-19 impacting travel. Prior to beginning residency this July, I have a couple of spare months and felt I could make an impact by volunteering in Cusco, Peru! While there, I will be assisting in health clinics that will not only help the local population, but also help me to improve my clinical care skills. I chose Peru because I've never been to South America and feel I can use my Spanish-speaking skills to assist the local team. Any help toward funding this trip is greatly appreciated!
