My Travel Story

In the Summer of 2020 I will be going to Belize for two weeks through a program called Therapy Abroad as a part of their Communication Sciences and Disorders program. In this program I will gain hands on experience, profesional observation hours, one-on-one time with Speech and Language Pathologists (SLPs) and so much more. My group will be working government organizations, non-governmental organizations, private clinics and charitable organizations to bring services to children throughout the country. The program heavily emphasizes learning about speech & language disorders, feeding, swallowing disorders, behavior modification, disabilities, and special needs in multicultural environments with speakers of English as a second language.
