My Travel Story

Hello! My name is Sara Freitas, and for years my dream has been to express my passion for graphic design and music by designing for a record label in Los Angeles, California. Through my school, I have found an incredible opportunity that is called the LA Program. The LA Program is hosted by Stonehill College and offers housing in downtown LA for students who are seeking an internship within their professional field.

Since finding out about this opportunity, I have been taking a tremendous amount of courses to make sure I am able to commit one full semester to intern in LA. The date I have established after many meetings is Spring of 2018. Until then, I will be working very hard in all of my classes and taking as many side jobs as I can to save up and make this dream come true.

Unfortunately, food and flights are not included. Since a semester is a little over three months, the amount of money I would need is over my capacity. I know my parents works very hard, but I also know that they do not have the financial stability and sufficient funds to make this dream a reality.

If this campaign is successful, it could really change my future and allow me to showcase all of my hardwork and become a successful graphic designer.
