My Travel Story

My name is Olya. I'm from Ukraine and I'm 19 years old.

As you all know there is a war in Ukraine right now. And now my goal is to move to England.
This desire did not come to me spontaneously, but has been building up over many years, and I believe that travelling to this amazing country can have a significant impact on my life and help me achieve my goals.
At the moment I am looking for a sponsor under the U4U programme, who will help me and my mum with accommodation.
In addition, my dream is to visit London. And since I haven't found a sponsor yet, I want to go to London on a tourist visa to see what kind of country it is. I have never travelled before.
Because of the war I have no money for travelling, of course.

England is the home of the English language, which I have been studying for a long time. Immersing myself in a language environment will allow me to significantly improve my knowledge, because communication with native speakers and daily practice will help me to master English at a deeper level. I want to learn to speak English so that it becomes my second mother tongue, and travelling to England is the best way to achieve this goal.
I have always been attracted to English culture. The literature, music, art and traditions of this country have a strong impression on me. I dream to visit London and see the famous museums, theatres and historical monuments such as Big Ben and Tower. I am also very interested in learning more about the traditions and way of life of English people to better understand their culture and mentality.

In addition, I would like to meet new people, learn about their views on the world and maybe make new friends. I am convinced that this will not only broaden my horizons, but also allow me to better understand myself.
Going to England is not just a trip, but an important step on the way to my personal and professional development!
