Hi everyone!


I am beyond excited to share that I have the opportunity to study abroad in Florence, Italy this Summer with the University of Utah's Eccles Global Program! I’ll be taking MGT 1050, a core Business course, while immersing myself in a new culture for four weeks. This experience will not only help me stay on track to graduate with my Bachelor of Science in Business, but it will also push me outside my comfort zone in ways I’ve never experienced before.

I want to explore, grow, and challenge myself in a completely new environment. Studying abroad in a country where I don’t speak the language will be tough, but I’m ready to embrace the challenge.

I’m excited to learn—not just in the classroom, but in every aspect of this journey. I want to:
- Navigate a foreign country with confidence
- Try authentic Italian food and explore new cities
- Learn the Italian language
- Connect and collaborate with people from diverse backgrounds
- Gain new perspectives on business, culture, and life

I am leaving on May 26th, and I’m doing everything in my power to make this dream a reality. I’ve applied for scholarships, met with financial aid counselors, and have been saving every penny I can. As my mom always says, “Cortes’s do not quit.” If something is truly worth my time and effort, I will find a way to make it happen.
