Looking for an opportunity to cycle around the world
My Travel Story
I used to commute to school while cycling. The year 2012 while commuting back home, a group of cyclists rode past me so fast and that's where my admiration to be part of such a group began.
I was able to get in touch with a local cycling team by the name team Velonos, they took us on training rides but one had to have his or her own bike, my bike was so simple and that's where i came to learn about competitive bicycles.
Since i was still schooling only on weekdays that's when i got to join them. I used to be left behind as i struggled to keep up but as time went on my fitness level progressed and i could keep up. That's was definitely something i was proud of.
My first race was a mountain bike event. I was so confident, excited and ready. Unfortunately as the race started less than 10 miles i crashed and my bike broke into half.
Due to lack of sponsorship in the team i stayed for 1 year without a bike until i managed to get a more advanced bike.
I would like to race unbound gravel race next year because cycling will provide the opportunity to get out into the countryside and grab some respite from the hustle and noise of the city, riding along increasingly quiet lanes and new trails allows me to wind down, take shock of my life and appreciate beauty of the changing seasons. Looking forward to cycle around more states in the US.
Cycling has helped discover a number of places that i would have never known existed. I wanna travel more places, meet new people and continue enjoying the pleasure brought by riding a bike because is beautiful riding on two wheels. I want to inspire young generation in our generation that cycling can take someone far.
