Going to Greece has always been my dream, but I knew I wanted to experience the culture in a more personal way that gives back to their community. I chose to volunteer abroad for 3 weeks in an animal shelter located in Athens. I'm very pssionate about helping animals and giving them a voice, I've helped in local shelters where I'm from in Halifax, Nova Scotia and helping a furry friend come out of their shell by earing their trust and finding them a home never gets less fulfilling. My time in Athens will make a difference in their community by providing the locals, who make all the magic happen, some extra hands to achive their goals.
