Hi everyone, my name is Jasmine Brittan, I am an incoming student at NYU and I have receently been afforded the incredible opportunity to participate in the Model Commonwealth Summit in Accra, Ghana this August. 

As one of two newly elected UK Young Ambassadors to the Commonwealth, I represent 24.2 million young people in my role. This includes my participation in international fora, liaising with over 180 member organisations, and fulfiling my elected manifesto. To curate effective change in this role, meeting fellow delegates and conversing on policy amendments we will instigate at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting this October is vital.  Hence, participating in this conference is important to effectively represent my constitutents. 

The conference will last for 3 days. I am personally able to afford the conference fee of £150 but I will need to fundraise around $1197.44 (£950) for the flight cost.
