My Travel Story

Hello, everyone!

My name is Kiam, and I'm a full-time student navigating a long-distance relationship with my amazing fiancé, who lives all the way in Australia while I’m in Germany. As you can imagine, it's been incredibly tough being so far apart, and the financial burden of international travel is more than I can handle on my own.

Why I'm Fundraising:

I'm working hard every day, juggling a full-time remote job and an internship alongside my studies, just to cover my basic expenses—food, rent, and of course, the cost of visiting my fiancé. But as much as I'm doing, traveling halfway across the world several times a year is financially draining. My fiancé is also doing everything he can, working long hours and taking on double shifts, but the distance is difficult, both emotionally and financially.

Our Goal: A Partner Visa and Frequent Visits in the Meantime

We’re planning to apply for a partner visa, which costs around 9k€, and while that’s a massive goal in itself, the visa process takes two years! During this time, I still need to travel to see him as much as possible to keep our connection strong.

In four months, we have planned a Eurotrip together, which will give us much-needed time to connect, create memories, and explore new places. But I need your help to finance the trip, as well as my upcoming visit to Australia three months after that. Plane tickets alone are incredibly expensive, and I’m doing everything I can to save up, but every little bit of support would mean the world to us.
