My Travel Story

Did you know that only 3% of children complete school in Laos? 
We take education for granted here in Australia so I'm doing my small part to help improve educational outcomes for young people in Luang Prabang, Laos.  For three weeks in December / January I'll be volunteering my time in monasteries and schools and helping the students to learn English.  

I feel so lucky (and I've been reflecting on this a lot as I near my 40th birthday) that I have everything I need and almost everything I could want.  Instead of birthday presents this year I'm hoping my friends and family might put the money they would have spent to help cover some of my travel costs. 

I'll be there over Christmas too - so if you're inclined to make a Christmas donation this would be a very worth cause too (just sayin...)! 

Any extra funds raised will go towards resources for the school I'll be volunteering in.
