My Travel Story

I am going to Sri Lanka for a Level One Mental Health Placement in June 2018 for 5 weeks with SLV.Global.

The placement will involve working in psychiatric facilities with service users at various stages of recovery, teaching english in the community and working with individuals of all ages with additional and special needs. This will be absolutely perfect experience for my prospective jobs and will make me who I want to be!

I will be working full time in challenging environments and i am passionate about the placement as it is solely focused on making a positive impact in the local community to the benefit of others, not a holiday experience.

The funds are due in April 2018 and are much more than I can afford, being a student of psychology! The support you provide will enable me to both contibute to the under-resourced mental health sector in Sri Lanka and broaden my vocational and idiosyncratic skills.

I will be extremely grateful for any help anyone can continute to this unique once-in-a-lifetime oppotunity, and hope you can share my excitement!
