As long as I have been alive, all I've heard about high school is that your senior year will be one of your best years of your life. I'd hear extravagant stories about studying abroad, or road trips, or crazy parties. But most importantly, I've always heard about senior trips.

Senior trips have always been a big part of the senior experience, whether it's a trip to Disney World or a week in Japan. I'd really love and appreciate to make it a part of my own.

I'd be lying if I told you I've never been to France. I have been there once. At that time, my mom still had money in her savings account from the death of my dad. And my grandmother still had money in her account from the death of her mother. (Yes. A lot of death.) It was really important for me to go at that time. I was applying for a scholarship called the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange. They send a select amount of high school students over to Germany for a full year. My mother wanted me to have the experience of traveling abroad, before putting a year of my life on the line all the way across an ocean, even if it meant draining her savings account. However, I ended up not getting the scholarship. It broke my heart.

However, on the bright side, I did get to travel to France. We spent two weeks in Southern France, and I can safely say that it was, and still remains to be, the best two weeks of my life. It really changed me as a person, and it brought me out of an anti-social shell. (Especially when I got lost in the ghettos of Carcassonne.)

My time spent in France was the best time of my life. My heart aches every time I think of our early mornings on the Trams, or our near-death experience climbing the hill up to Carcassonne's castle.

I'd give anything to get one more chance to go to France. And this is where I need your help. I'm graduating high school this year. All I ask for is your help to give me one more experience that I'll never forget. Going back to France means more than the world to me.

Thank you.
