My Travel Story

Hello! I'm Caileigh Burnett, and I'm currently a sophomore at the University of Texas at Austin. I've been involved in munerous extracurriculars since high school where I was on my drill team for four years and was an officer my senior year. I was also involved in the National Honor Society, my theatre company (which we won UIL One Act 4A state) and I also went to a Texas Tech summer theatre program. I have also played piano for 10 years now and have competed in multiple competitions as well as gone to state for UIL piano solos and have recieved numerous awards and certificates in theory and performances. Among all of this, I also volunteered at a local nursing home and a women's and children's shelter as well as highway pick up. 
My freshmen year occurred during COVID and made it very hard to meet people and get out but I was involved in the national organization of NRHH and acted as VP of intercommunications and recognition. I also still dance at a local studio focusing on pro-style. I graduated with a 4.4 GPA from high school and currently have a 3.9 GPA at UT Austin and was on the Dean's Honors list after my first semester. 
In the future, I hope to attend UT Southwestern's medical school after graduating with a BS in Neuroscience and certificate in pre-health from UT to create a career for myself as a neurosurgeon. I am planning on studying abroad in the fall at Zurich, Switzerland at the ETH Zurich University.
