Hiya!
This summer I want to go to Fukuoka, Japan to study the Japanese language and culture. It has been a dream of mine to go to Japan for years. Languages are a passion and possible career for my future. Studying Japanese while in Japan will expand my horizons.
The total amount of time I would be in Japan is five weeks. The first week will be of rest and getting used to my host family and the four other weeks will be of study and volunteer.
I will be staying with a host family to be immersed in the language and culture. I will be going to 20 language courses and at least six cultural courses in a week. The cultural classes are about both modern and traditional studies. The courses will be taught in classrooms and on outside excursions. The weekends I am there will be spent volunteering at beaches, picking up trash.
While in Japan, I can picnic in the parks, go to shrines, have unique food, and karoake nights. Every day will be a new experience with new places and people.
This opens many doors for me to intern, teach, and volunteer in Japan. While this trip will be fun, it will help me learn to be independent and widen my perspective of the world. The trip is a chance to see the world before college.
To fulfill my dream of studying in Japan, I need your help, please!
And thank you for you time!

Thank you to all who have donated so far! I am truly so thankful for the opportunity to go on this trip. It would take a thousand words to express my over all gratitude.
I have officially gotten a job which help with the overall cost, but the donations are still greatly appreciated and needed.
Thank you to all who believe in me!
