Helping restore a legacy of teaching kids the essentials.
My Travel Story
I have done a fair bit of research on volunteering abroad and feel this organization and project is up at the top for fulfilling many facets of volunteering.
As this is very much a sustainable project, the rewards will be forthcoming for years to come. Being able to see the construction working and being implemented by the people who deserve it most will be gratifying beyond.
From working with my hands and mind, I will be helping change the landscape of the area as well as make the locals safer, happier and creating opportunities to come to them at their doorsteps (literally). I am energized from the fact I will be getting dirt under my nails and in my hair while we as a team design and create a safe environment for learning.
I chose Tanzania for 2 reasons, 1. out of ALL my travels, it is country on my very short listed Bucket List. I wanted to see Tanzania on a personal level not as a work assignment (will be my 150th country). 2. To be able to do my bucket list locale AND volunteer to help make it a richer environment. So excited!
With the pandemic and being out of work for 27 months it gave me a great deal of time to reflect and ponder... which was a great positive. One of my findings is i want to do More for the world i adore that i already share with many of my clients but on a much richer sustainable level. Here is where I start!
Photos to come of the construction.
I personally am looking forward to pay this forward!!
