Our family moved to Accra, Ghana, with a vision to positively impact our new community. Since arriving, we have been actively involved in local initiatives focused on improving educational opportunities and enhancing community welfare. We aim to bridge cultural gaps by participating in local events and collaborating with neighborhood groups to foster a sense of unity and shared purpose. Our commitment extends beyond just settling into a new life; it's about making meaningful contributions that help uplift the community around us. Bringing Onyx here is crucial for maintaining our family's well-being and morale as we continue these efforts.

Hi, I’m Carli. After relocating from Buffalo, NY, to Accra, Ghana, our family is facing a heart-wrenching challenge. We desperately need your help to reunite with our beloved Boerboel, Onyx, who's currently alone in the U.S.

The Need

Onyx isn't just a pet; she’s a core member of our family. Recently, we faced the painful loss of another dog, who had to be euthanized because no one could care for her. This tragedy has only deepened our resolve to ensure Onyx doesn't face the same fate.

The Challenge

Bringing a large dog like Onyx to Ghana involves numerous logistical and financial hurdles, including health checks, suitable crates, and expensive air freight charges. We've tried everything to save up the $5,000 needed, but we're still falling short and time is ticking.

How You Can Help

Your support could significantly change Onyx's life and ours. Any contribution—big or small—will help cover the costs of her journey and ensure she can start her new life in Ghana. We can't bear the thought of losing her too.

 Impact

Reuniting with Onyx will not only complete our family but also heal the wounds left by our recent loss. Her presence will bring us much-needed comfort and joy as we continue adjusting to our new life in Ghana.

Use of Funds

- Health check and vaccinations: $500

- Travel crate: $300

- Air freight and handling: $3,200

- Miscellaneous and unexpected expenses: $1,000

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any support you can provide. We promise to update you with photos and stories of Onyx's integration into her new Ghanaian life, surrounded by the family who loves her.
